The New Kettering Constituency

Boundary Changes

Due to the growth in poulation, Northamptonshire will gain an additional Parliamentary Constituency at the next General Election (up from 6 to 7). The new Kettering Constituency will cover the same area as the Borough of Kettering and will no longer include the following communities which are part of the new Daventry Constituency.

ARTHINGWORTH, BOUGHTON, BRIXWORTH, CLIPSTON, COLD ASHBY, COTTESBROOKE, CREATON, DRAUGHTON, EAST FARNDON, GREAT OXENDON, GUILSBOROUGH, HANNINGTON, HASELBECH, HOLCOT, KELMARSH, LAMPORT, MAIDWELL, MARSTON TRUSSELL, MOULTON, NASEBY, OLD, OVERSTONE, PITSFORD, SCALDWELL, SIBBERTOFT, SPRATTON, SULBY, THORNBY, WALGRAVE & WELFORD

AREA:

The new Kettering Constituency covers an area of approximately 200 square miles covering the Borough of Kettering.

COMMUNITIES:

In addition to Kettering and the three A6 towns of Burton Latimer, Desborough and Rothwell it also includes

Ashley, Barton Seagrave, Brampton Ash, Braybrooke,  Broughton, Cranford, Cransley, Dingley, Geddington, Glendon, Grafton Underwood,  Harrington, Little Oakley Loddington, Newton, Orton, Pipewell, Pytchley, Rushton, Stoke Albany, Sutton Bassett, Thorpe Malsor, Warkton, Weekley, Weston-by-Welland and Wilbarston.

POPULATION:

At the next General Election the electorate will be approx 67,000 and the total population is over 80,000.

There are 6 Secondary Schools in the constituency -

Bishop Stopford,  Ise Community College, Latimer, Montsaye, Montagu, and Southfield.
